Nepal went undefeated and won the triangular one-day series involving Namibia and Scotland under the ICC World Cup League 2 at home. Nepal won the series undefeated by defeating Scotland by 2 wickets in the last match of the series on Tuesday.
Nepal has managed to win all four matches of the series at home. This is the first time that Nepal has won four consecutive matches in ODI cricket. Chasing the target of 213 runs given by Scotland at the Trivi Cricket Ground, Nepal completed the target by losing 8 wickets in 44 overs. Captain Rohit Kumar Paudyal scored a half-century for Nepal. He played the ball and scored runs by hitting fours and sixes. Similarly, while Karan KC scored 31 runs, Gyanendra Malla scored 21 runs, Kushal Malla scored 17 runs and Asif Sekh scored 12 runs, but other batsmen could not score runs in double figures.
Mark Watt took three wickets for Scotland. Similarly, Chris Grewas took two wickets. With the win, Nepal has played 28 matches in League 2 and has collected 26 points. Nepal now needs to win 5 out of 8 matches to save the ODI status. Nepal will play the last triangular series at home. Before that, Nepal will play series with PNG and UAE in UAE. Champion Scotland has 50 points from 36 games.
