Three youths who were arrested while protesting the Citizenship Bill and MCC in an event attended by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba have been released.
When the Prime Minister was about to address the program of the Bhimsen Thapa Memorial Foundation, Som Sharma, Biplav Khadka and Arjun Paudel were arrested by the security personnel who were carrying placards and chanting slogans like repeal the Citizenship Bill, let’s protect nationalism, let’s protect independence.According to Pashupati Khadka Sudip, a central member of the All Nepal Sports Federation, they have been detained for two days after protesting against the anti-national act, and have now been released after widespread public pressure. The three arrested persons were kept in the Maligaon police station.
