Nepal has been defeated in the first match in the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship. In the match at the BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka Kamalapur, Nepal was defeated by the home team Bangladesh 3-1.
Three goals were scored in the first half hour of the game. Akalima Khatun gave Bangladesh the lead in the third minute of the game. Captain Shamsunahar scored in 13 minutes to double the home team’s lead. Trailing by two goals, Nepal tried to return to the game in the first half. In the 24th minute, Manmaya Damai scored a goal to make the game 2-1. After that, Nepal tried to equalize but could not succeed. Finally, Bangladesh scored the third goal in the injury time.
