Scotland win over Namibia

Scotland defeated Namibia by 43 runs in the triangular ODI series between Nepal, Scotland and Namibia under the ICC World Cup League-2.

Chasing the target of 222 runs given by Scotland at the Kirtipur Stadium on Monday, Scotland won after Namibia were bowled out for 178 runs in 38.4 overs. Namibia scored 124 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 25 overs and lost the remaining 6 wickets after scoring 54 runs.Opener Lou Lawrence top scored for Namibia with 52 runs. In bowling, Mark Watt of Scotland took 4 wickets and Michael Lesk took 3 wickets.

Before that, after Namibia won the toss and chose to field, Scotland, who batted first, were bowled out for 221 runs in 48.4 overs.
Christopher McBride added 47 runs for Scotland while captain Richie Berrington scored 32 runs.

Tomas McIntosh scored 34 runs and Michael Lesk scored 29 runs. Trumpelman of Namibia took 5 wickets in bowling. Similarly, Tangeni Lungmeni took 2 wickets.

Earlier in the series, Nepal defeated Namibia in both matches and Scotland in one match. The final match of the series will be played between Nepal and Namibia on Tuesday. Namibia lost all four matches in the series.
