Nepal, who lost the toss and batted, were bowled out by Qatar for 157 runs. In the game of 50 overs, Nepal lost all wickets in 40.3 overs and was limited to 157 runs. Sandeep Lamichhane, who came to bat at number ten for Nepal, faced 58 balls and added 42 unbeaten runs with the help of 6 fours, but no other batsman could add better runs.

Chasing a modest target of 158 runs for victory, Qatar were bowled out for 89 runs in 25.1 overs. Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane took 5 wickets with 14 runs including 3 maidens in 9.1 overs.
